Accessibility Statement

What I do to keep itsdad.io usable for everyone, what is not there yet, and how to tell me when something blocks you.

1. My commitment

I want itsdad.io to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not a cleanup task.

2. The standard I aim for

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That target is a genuine commitment, not a claim of certified conformance — no third party has audited this site.

3. What is in place

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and a logical heading order on each page.
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast, in a design system rather than page by page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and accessible names on icon-only controls.
  • Form fields with associated labels and error messages that are announced, not just colored red.
  • Responsive, mobile-first layouts with tap targets sized for touch.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences on animated elements.

4. Known limitations

  • Some purchased PDFs and downloadable templates are not fully tagged for screen readers.
  • Third-party embeds, including Stripe checkout, follow their own accessibility implementations.
  • Charts and dashboards in the admin area are not a priority for public accessibility work, as they are used only by me.

If any of these blocks you, contact me and I will provide the content another way.

5. Requesting an accessible format

Email support@itsdad.io and tell me which product or page you need. I will provide an accessible alternative — a tagged document, plain text, or a walkthrough — at no charge, normally within a few business days.

6. Feedback

Accessibility problems are bugs and I want to hear about them. Email support@itsdad.io with the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. I read every one of these personally and I aim to respond within 2 business days.
