1. What this SMS policy covers
This policy applies when you give ITS DAD LLC your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages. It explains what data is collected, how it is used, who processes it, how to stop messages, and what your rights are.
This policy works together with the main Privacy Policy. If something is not covered here, the main Privacy Policy applies.
2. What SMS data I collect
- Your mobile phone number — provided by you when you opt in.
- Opt-in record — the time, method, and message or form that obtained your consent.
- Message content — the texts I send you and any replies you send back.
- Delivery events — confirmation that a message was sent, delivered, or failed.
3. How I use text messaging
- Transactional messages — receipts, download delivery, appointment reminders, account security, and other messages directly related to a purchase or service you requested.
- Support messages — answering questions you send by text or continuing a conversation you started.
- Marketing or announcement messages — new products, insider updates, or special offers, but only when you have explicitly opted in to marketing texts.
4. Who processes SMS data
Text messages are delivered through an SMS gateway provider (such as Twilio). The provider processes your phone number and message content only to deliver the message and report delivery status. They do not use your number for their own marketing, and they are bound by a data-processing agreement.
5. Consent, frequency, and your choices
- I do not send marketing texts unless you have given clear, written consent through a form, checkout checkbox, or keyword opt-in.
- Message frequency varies by list — typically no more than a few messages per week for marketing, and as needed for transactional or support messages.
- You can stop marketing texts at any time by replying STOP. You can get help by replying HELP.
- Replying STOP unsubscribes you from that text list. You may still receive transactional messages related to an active order or account.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. ITS DAD LLC does not charge a separate fee for text messages.
6. What I do not do with SMS data
- I do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number for unrelated advertising.
- I do not use your SMS consent to bypass other privacy choices you have made.
- I do not send texts to numbers obtained without documented consent.
7. How long SMS data is kept
Your phone number and opt-in record are kept for as long as you are subscribed to the text list, plus a suppression record after you opt out so you are not re-added by mistake. Message logs are kept for up to 24 months for delivery troubleshooting and compliance, then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your rights
You have the same rights over SMS data as other personal data described in the main Privacy Policy: access, correction, deletion, and portability where applicable. To exercise those rights, or to ask about a text message, email the privacy contact below.
